On August 28th, we had a fantastic event at The Mindful Mutt to help raise funds for Shower Up, a non-profit that provides mobile showers and hygiene supplies for persons experiencing homelessness.
My friend, Sarah, mom to Ella Mae (@yuppie_puppy_from_boston), presented the idea for a dog-friendly market/vendor event with a charity component for Shower Up. As you may know, I have a Giving Back component to my business plan and vision for The Mindful Mutt. In the past, we had a successful fundraiser for Ukrainian refugees and Zoo animals. This cause hit close to home because I have a family member who is currently homeless. So I was thrilled to get involved!
The event consisted of local small business vendors and unique raffle baskets! We had Puppaccinos for every pup, swag giveaways, Instagrammable backdrops with photo booth props, and a professional photographer! The turnout was absolutely amazing! The weather was beautiful! And everyone had a blast!

With their help and the graciousness of event attendees and clients who donated, we raised over $2,800 for Shower Up!
